How a punchout round trip works
Section titled “How a punchout round trip works”- Launch. The buyer opens your catalog from their buyer system. A punchout session starts and the browser lands in your shop.
- Panel on the cart page. The tag recognizes the punchout and docks the punchout panel next to your cart. punchout.dev reads the line items from the cart page.
- Transfer. The buyer checks the items and clicks Transfer to procurement system. The buyer’s browser hands the cart to the buyer system’s return URL as OCI fields, a cXML message or an IDS Connect cart.
- Cart in the buyer system. The items arrive as a requisition, and approval and the purchase order follow in the buyer system.
punchout.dev hosts the script, your buyer settings and every punchout session. A session and its cart expire after four hours.
